Thank you <3 You’re wonderful

1. The Writer - I like the lyrics that speak of a dependency, or a willingness to give everything.
2. Human - lyrically this is a repetitive song, but there is so much emotion in the chorus I was listen to this song when it shuffles on.
3. Starry Eyed - her debut single, a commercially accessible song, but it gives a real sense of this girl’s talent.
4. Home - this might be the closets Goulding comes to having a song that sounds outright sad - the others sometimes have sad lyrics, but musically they’re coupled with an upbeat sound.
5. Animal - the harp(?) in the beginning is great, and the chorus is indicative of the Goulding sound, and is an all-round good listen.

Favorite quote from a movie

O-Ren Ishii’s speech from Kill Bill sticks out for me:

In the room illuminated by just a small night light, Morgan’s dark hands look like shadows creeping over Reid’s pale torso, enveloping him. Spencer sighs and pants into the night, every nerve tingling and never having felt safer.

She doesn’t tell him it’s over, she simply stops turning up for their children’s “play dates”.

That’s pretty much Tolkien’s fault, he did the whole darker skin = more evil thing, and the film played on that sigh.

Fantasy as a genre does it in general, to be honest. Because magic and dragons and elves = okay, but people of colour? *gasp* Too unrealistic~
