i cringe like fuck when people use the term “grammar nazi”

just can we not throw around a word as powerful as “nazi” for something as largely unimportant as general grammar mistakes

if you need a term “grammar police” actually fits better

or “grammar geek” or “lord comma of grammartown”

because there is nothing nazi-esque about your reaction to grammar, however intense

y’know unless your reaction involves the mass murder of people who have bad grammar
